Do You NEED to Go – Part Two

In you is a well of salvation.  For whom do you draw from it?

When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He placed in you a well of living water that springs eternal from your spirit with the water of life.  if you it is understood to be eternal life.  how often do you draw from that well?  I know that I draw upon that well that is within me daily, and in fact, many times throughout each day.  Isaiah said it is “with joy” that we draw from that well, and that joy is released by faith via the words of our own mouth, they being our justifiers.

Now allow me a moment to present you a mental picture.  If I work hard, I perspire (sweat).  And if it is particularly warm when I am working, I sweat profusely, much of that sweat coming from my head, for that is one of the primary ways the Lord has designed the body to cool itself.  That sweat on the forehead evaporates, thus releasing heat from the multitude of capillaries located near the skin’s surface, thus having a cooling effect on the body.  Now consider this.  As a member of the body of Christ, when you work hard, does the head sweat?  Of course we understand that Jesus doesn’t sweat; He is God the Son and He knows how to live by faith.  But the imagery I want you to see is this.  When you draw water from your well of salvation, do you realize that as you are refreshed, the head is aware of it, and so enjoys the refreshing with you?

Too often, when we are working hard in the Kingdom we may feel as though we’re the only one who desires to be refreshed.  But as you partake of the water of life freely, drawing from the well that is in your spirit, springing up to everlasting life, our Lord is blessed.  In your times of refreshing, He joys over you with singing, is mighty in the midst of you, and rests in His love over you. So draw, my friend, draw.  Draw water continually from that well, and as you do, realize you are not drawing just for yourself. Your drawing brings great joy to your Master.  As you, a member in particular of His body drawing the water of life, He rejoices over you with great joy, being magnified in His strength through your refreshing in the earth.
