Don’t Be Deceived – You’re the Winner

Satan is neither as smart or powerful as he would have you believe.

John 14:12 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

On one hand, Satan appears to be quite intelligent.  After all, he has had thousands of years’ experience at practicing deception against mankind, and that with often devastating results on his part.  But when you look closer, his true lack of intelligence really begins to surface.  Consider what I write to you.  He knows that the weapons provided us by the Lord are supernatural and quite capable of overcoming him at every point, yet he persists in his attempts to rule all of mankind and overcome the church.  It is at that point his true lack of intelligence begins to become clear.  Anyone who thinks he can defeat God cannot be all that intelligent, and yet Satan keeps attempting the same feat over and over.

He tried to defeat God and was thrown from heaven into the earth.  God created hell and put him there, out of the way of His creation.  When man was empowered to rule creation, Satan deceived the woman and the man committed high treason, leaving Satan with temporary victory at best.  It looked as though he had won.  But the bruising of his head awaited him.  Then Jesus, the Son of God came, and took back what man had lost, once again defeating Satan.  Now the ultimate defeat of Satan has been prophesied, but in the meantime he sill works to defeat God by trying to overcome His church.  Ah, but there is a problem.

God has armed us with His armor, His weapons, He ability, His Name, and His authority, all of which works through His faith by His love, both of which He has freely given His church.  Now join your thinking with mine for a moment and prepare to rejoice in your victory.  Try as he might and as often as he will, Satan never has, nor will he ever, defeat the Lord and His kingdom.  The church is assured of victory, and so are you if you will but follow the Lord’s pattern.  And what was His pattern?  Speak the Word, answer with the Word, armor up with the Word, hold fast to the Word, believe the Word.  Satan has lying wonders; God has REAL wonders.  Satan has only lies; God has only truth.  Satan operates in darkness; God operates in light.  Satan’s kingdom operates by fear; God’s kingdom operates by faith, and it is that faith which overcomes the world.  The truth is, dear second miler, you’re already the winner, already an overcomer, more than a conqueror.
