Time for Some Superheroes

Are you willing to be made a public spectacle for Jesus?  That’s super!

John 14:12 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Our world today is so bereft of real heroes.  I know there are some still around; all you need to do is look in the right places.  All kinds of comments are made about heroes, and many people think there is really no such thing.  They say that what we call a hero is just a matter of being in the right place at the right time and having the right luck. Well, allow me to challenge that thinking from the very start and declare with that challenge that there is no such thing as luck.

Throughout history there have been real heroes.  They did indeed perform the right action at the right time; not by luck, but by being prepared.  And one more element needs to be added; right action at the right time with right preparation came about by right choice.  Real heroes make a decision to act, to do the right thing even if it is the toughest decision they ever made.  And it is based on this thinking that I declare to you it is time for some superheroes.  No, I’m not talking about some mythical character like Odysseus, Hercules, Robin Hood, the Lone Ranger, Superman, or Spiderman.  I’m talking about a real, flesh and blood, air breathing, mortal who steps up for the work at hand.

Let me define superhero as a supernatural hero.  I did not say mythical; I said supernatural.  But how can that be?  I must be talking about a Christian, a believer in Christ who puts absolute trust and confidence in the Word of God and lives daily by faith in God and obedience to the Word.  I believe I am talking about you.  Yes, you.  You’re a Christian, a believer in Christ.  You say you have put your faith in Jesus Christ Who is the Word made flesh.  You say you truly believe and obey His Word.  If that describes you, then you’re that person.  You’re the superhero I am seeking.  And more than that, God is looking for you, too, and He’s looking right now.  Are you willing to be that person?  I pray you are.  Thake the time to read our Manna for Today.  It’s God’s Word.  It’s true, and He us upholding it and hastening it to perform it.  Holy Spirit in you in waiting to unleash supernatural power through you to perform supernatural works to bring honor to God.  Read, study, and meditate upon His Word, remain obedient, and be available.
