For the child of God, living in the supernatural should be quite natural.
John 14:14 – If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Why do dogs bark? It’s in their nature. Why do certain kinds of fish school in vast numbers? It’s in their nature. Why do sheep seem to almost blindly follow one another? It’s in their nature. Why do chickens flock while eagles generally soar alone? It’s in their nature. Now here’s one of the real paradoxes of life. Why do so many Christians live defeated lives, have vocabularies saturated with doubt and unbelief, and struggle so hard to demonstrate the joy of the Lord? As I said, this is the paradox. It seems all of nature operates within the parameters of its nature, while the one species that SHOULD operate unflinchingly in its nature operates and lives counter to the very nature it should demonstrate. Sadly, I am writing about the Church.
When dog’s bark, when fish school, when sheep follow one another, when chickens flock, and when eagles soar alone, we accept it readily. Why, then, can we not readily accept a child of God who imitates His Father from Whom he received His very nature? Yes, I know that some of us do, but greater is the number of those who look strangely at that person who speaks only faith, who refuses to live below his/her estate as children of Jehovah God, who are determined to live, act, and speak as one who has a righteousness consciousness with no more conscience of sin. And yet that is the very way in which hour God wants us to live.
I challenge you today, as a child of God, to take up the mantle of sonship that has been bequeathed to you at the ratification of the New Covenant through the death of our Lord Jesus, and which is now administered by that same Lord Who has been raised from the dead, and justified us to live in the manner Father has set before us. That may see like much to say in one sentence, and indeed it is. But read it again and again. It is New Testament truth that every believer should receive, conceive, and believe, holding fast to it, and living it throughout his/her lifetime in the is earth. The true it this; it should be as natural for you to live in the supernatural as it is for the animals of our planet to live in the natural. Supernatural healing and health, provision and prosperity, deliverance and victory, might, power, dominion, and glory should be yours. As a believer, you should be “men (women) wondered at,” feared by the world for you are called by the Name of the Lord.
