Acts 5:15-16 – Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
There are two statements in Scripture that I believe to be very poignant regarding today’s Second Miler. Jesus said that if we believed on Him, we would do the works He did, and even greater works. And Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes that things which had been shall be the things that are done, for there is nothing new under the sun. With those two passages of Scripture in mind, look again at our Text for Today. Do you see it? The Text for Today speaks to us of things done by the apostles that were before done by Jesus, and in that context of works of the past being done in the present, what does it say to you? The works that Jesus did are the works that we should be doing, and certainly will do, for that which has been in the infant church shall be witnessed again in the pre-rapture church (that’s our age).
What I want you to see in our Second Miler today is that we should fully expect to be seen in our present time all the various manifestations of the anointings of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and the full array of the gifts of the Spirit. Once again, I say to you that those things which HAVE BEEN SHALL BE. God has said it, and that settles it. I believe God. How about you?
To that end I declare to you that we will see manifestations of healing in measures heretofore unseen. I say that for two reasons. Today, there are move people, and that includes sick people, in the earth than have ever been at any time (now more than seven billion). In that there is greater opportunity and need to share the gospel of Jesus than ever, and in that opportunity to share is the probability of the manifestation of healing and deliverance. Prepare your heart and mind, child of God. Those days are surely upon us. Go to the Word, pray as never before in your life, study more than you ever have, trust God more deeply than you ever have, and make yourself more available to Holy Ghost than ever. It’s not a matter of God choosing a time, but rather a matter of you and me investing our time, talent, and treasure wisely to make sure we are prepared to move at ANY time. When we’re ready at ANY time, God will show Himself mighty EVERY time. HEALING IS IN HIM!
