I say it somewhere almost daily; “If God said it, that settles it.”
Acts 10:15 – And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

I have said it for decades, fully believing it. In Peru it became a power-statement expressing the absolute integrity of God’s Word that should take precedent over any and all other words, ideas, and actions. “If God said it, that settles it.” In Peru I learned to say it in Spanish, making it even more impactful to Spanish speaking peoples. “Si Dios lo ha dicho, esta establicido.” In my travels in Africa, I found I could make a strong and Godly impact on the good people of Kenya by learning that phrase in Swahili. There it is said, “Kama Mungu alysema ataidhibitisha.” My point is simple, and one to which every believer needs to submit him/herself. There should be NO argument with ANYTHING God says. Once again I state it simply and directly; “If God said it, that settles it.”
In Acts 10, we see the Lord beginning to open the pathway for the fulfilling of the Great Commission, to “go into all the world.” “All the world” includes the Gentiles; the NON-Jewish world. So, God instructed Peter to NOT call common what He (God) had cleansed. And Peter certainly understood the truth of our leading statement in today’s Second Miler; “If God said it, that settles it.”
It is to that end that I write to you today. I see and hear all to often how easy it is for us (believers) to speak judgmental, often harshly or disagreeably so, statements based on what we see with our eyes, when in reality, what we see with out eyes is in complete disharmony with the Word of God. My friend, such things ought not be. We know the power of words. The Scriptures are replete with instruction, admonition, teaching, and even correction concerning the words of our mouths. Words license unseen spiritual forces, both holy and unholy, to carry out activities that all to quickly become seen. What is seen provokes even more words. Sadly, when what is spoken is contrary to the mind, will, and plan of God, dark forces move quickly to attempt the establishment of something that appears concrete, thus powerfully impacting all who see it to speak even more words in witness against the Word of God. Once again, my friend, such things ought not be.
The finest and most powerful guard the believer has against such activities and speech arising from his/her own mouth is to personally covenant before the Lord that he/she will allow NO WORDS that are contrary to the mind, will, or plan of God to proceed from his/her mouth. Simply stated, ANY WORD contrary to God’s Word is a corrupt word. Commit Ephesians 4:29 to heart, and then live it.
