What in the World Is Happening? – Part Twenty-nine?

We need to hear the voice of true men of God truly speaking for the Lord.

Mark 4:3 & 26 – Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:….&…..So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

Yesterday I concluded with the question, “Who will be the Elihu(s) of this hour?”  In the book of Job, the events were localized about one natural family.  Today, the events of this hour are international, global, touching every nation and ethnic group on our planet.  The Job scenario is no longer a single family and friends issue, but touches the entire family of God and all those that family can reach.  That means the entire world is involved this time.

While we are dealing with what seems like multiple crises, disease, racial issues, hatred, bitterness, political intrigue, and more, the truth of what we are facing has, as its basis, spiritual forces.  And more than that, our assignment as believers has not changes.  It is still to go into all the world, preach the Gospel to every creature, win the lost, baptize, make disciples, and do the works that Jesus did, and greater works.  That is still our assignment, but sadly, the church at large is so distracted from that because of current events that it hardly looks like the church any longer.  Many of our sanctuaries are still empty, many, if not most others are sparsely occupied on Sunday morning, and much, if not most of the conversation is all about the distractions.  That’s what we are seeing on the news, in social media, and even in our streets firsthand.

In the book of Job, Elihu was the voice that brought Job’s attention, and that of his three friends, back to a place where it could hear from God personally.  In this present hour, there is an ever-increasing clamoring for the prophetic voice, and there is a plethora of voices that are willing to conform to that desire.  But many of those voices remain a part of the argument and not the solution.  They speak just enough truth to attract those who desperately need to hear from the Lord, but find themselves drawn more and more to the voice of the multiplicity of prophetic sounds.  It’s easy to be deceived, misled, and misguided when you’re interested in a word from the Lord but are lacking in any real depth of knowledge and understanding of the Word of God.  One of the strong prayers we should be praying at this moment is for those who come forth with a prophetic sound will have more than the sound, and be thoroughly saturated with the truth.  If you will know truth, you must believe on Jesus, continue in His Word, and discipline yourself to obey that truth.  Then you will know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:31-32).
