Mark 4:3 & 26 – Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:….&…..So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
The time in which we live is critical. We are closer to the coming of Jesus than ever, yet the discussion of so many believers is completely saturated with carnality. That must change. Jesus is coming for a church without spot, wrinkle, or blemish. We’re not there yet. There is work that must be done. Jesus is coming for a church that is looking for His appearing. Yet the church of this hour, in general, is looking for an easy way to live here. We need Father’s instructions that will lead us to victory. We have them in His Word. Now it is up to us to follow them.
While today’s Second Miler will certainly not provide an exhaustive list, I will offer you some of the basics to which we must adhere in order to live in the victory Father desires for us. These words are written to the Christian, the believer in Christ.
- Keep God’s Commandments – we are living in a time in which everything we say and do needs to be weighed in the light of God’s Word. Obedience to the Word of God is a MUST!
- Study to show yourself approved unto God – it’s not about man’s approval, but God’s. Socially acceptable, popular, politically correct theology is garbage. Don’t allow it in your house, but rather, keep it out. It only corrupts. Before you speak, or publish your words in places like social media, make sure they are RIGHT WORDS. If you’re not sure, don’t say it, don’t write it, and don’t publish it. Make sure your words align with God’s Words.
- By YOUR words you will be justified, and by YOUR words you will be condemned – the most important words that will ever be spoken about you are the words you speak. Make sure your words agree with all God has said about you. Words that justify will strengthen you, uphold you, and give you victory.
- Pray according to the Word – prayer is communion with Father. Pray the Word. Father WILL respond to His Covenant. Every believer is called to pray, anointed to pray, assigned to pray. Obey your calling, walk in your anointing, work in your assignment. Pray for those who speak, act, and conspire against you; do not curse or speak evil of them. When Job prayed for those who spoke, acted, and thought against him, God turned his captivity.
These instructions are but a few of what is our responsibility, but they are a sound foundation upon which to build your victory. The captivity of the church MUST be turned.
