What in the World Is Happening? – Part Thirty-two

It’s time for the church to fulfill its role in this age, without hesitation, in full faith and love.

Mark 4:3 & 26 – Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:….&…..So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

As a Christian for more than 60 years, and walking in the five-fold ministry for almost 50 years, I have experienced many things that hurt, injured, marked, and even scarred my life.  In all those occurrences, I have learned that my best possible strategy in anything I face is simple obedience to and focus on the Word of God.  I have been deeply involved in martial arts training for over 40 years, and from that have learned how to defend myself rather proficiently, and have certain capabilities that most people have not learned.  None of them even come close to the effectiveness of God’s Word in dealing with hurtful, and even dangerous situations.  The best and greatest weapons we will ever possess or use in our lives arise from the Word of God and obedience to the Word.

I would like to think that most, if not all, men and women of God would know this, teach this, walk in this, and model this.  It’s not a matter of ethnicity, social status, or geography.  It’s a matter of faith and obedience to God’s Word (His will).  And yet sadly, especially in this hour when the world seems to be locked in a struggle with so-called “pandemic,” and in many places, especially my home country, racism is raising its ugly head on what seems to be almost every street corner.  My question here is a simple one.  Where are our pastors, our denominational leaders, and the Christians who serve in our nation’s government, educational institutes, and media?

While pandemic and racial issues seem to overload our airways, so many ministers are remaining silent, or worse, joining in the fray of debates at a carnal level, seeming to ignore the spiritual demands set forth in the Scriptures.  I fully realize that much of what I am writing is not popular in many religious circles, especially those who tout unity between Biblical Christianity and religions that are completely counter to Christianity.  It’s time for the church to do that which God intended it to do.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.  Worship God in spirit and in truth.  Preach the Gospel to every creature.  Love your neighbor as yourself; not more than or less than.  Live by faith.  Fear not.  Pray without ceasing, for all those in authority, for your enemies, for those who would hurt and persecute you.

Marching with them, talking about them, fighting them, debating them, and compromising with them won’t work.  ONLY God’s way will work.  Get busy, church.  It’s time to go to work.
