Shine, Regardless of Darkness

In the present darkness of today’s world, it is time to shine more brightly than ever.

Isaiah 60:1-3 – Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.  For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.  And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Our world is in darkness.  Yet Jesus said you are the light of the world.  Where is the shine?  Our world is in chaos.  Yet the Scriptures declare the church has been given peace that passes understanding.  Where is the illumination revealing that peace?  So many in the body of Christ feels as though they are alone.  Yet the Word declares that the brightness of the shining church would draw the world.  Where is the light to reveal that drawing, showing the world where to come?

Take a moment to read our Text for Today once more.  Heed the instruction of Holy Spirit through the Word of God.  The church has no reason to exist in the darkness, or even in the shadows.  “The glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”  Notice that it has already risen.  This is not something for which the church should be waiting, but rather a manifestation in which the church should be walking daily.  That light has already come.

Yes, the world is lost in the darkness that holds it bound and fettered, but Father’s plan is to rise on the church in such a way as to show forth His glory shining upon you.  Jesus has already said that the glory Father gave Him, He has given to the church.  Oh, that the church would recognize that the glory Father gave Him is the “glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

The church must realize that this is the will of Father.  It is already established according to the Word of God.  All the church needs to do is to walk in the light of the Word of God, in complete obedience and compliance to His Word, living by faith through believing the Word that has been given.  When the church steps into its rightful position, Father will make fully manifest our Text for Today in, upon, and through the church.  And when that happens, we will see “Gentiles . . . come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”  And that, dear one, will be the means by which the greatest revival and influx of souls into the kingdom of God shall ever be seen.  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are waiting upon the church to come to its place of “rising.”  Are you ready to rise up?  It’s time to shine, regardless of darkness.
