Matthew 16:18 – And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
I remember, several years past now, having the following question put to me. The facilitator of that meeting asked, “What would you do if you knew you could not be stopped, and there was no lack of any needed resources?” Think about that question for a few moments. Imagine having limitless resources, every ability and skill you need, and your greatest dream before you, with no possibility of anything stopping or defeating you in your endeavor. That, my friend, would be a most desirable place to be.
Well, dear one, if Jesus Christ is your Lord, if that dream in your heart is one placed there by the Lord, and if your actions and outcome are in full compliance to the Word of God, that is precisely where you stand. If God commands you to do a thing, He will personally enable you to do it, equip you for the work, provision you with every resource you need for that work, and see to it that you are defended and supported in your endeavors. He will supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He anoints you for the service to which He calls you. He authorizes you to use the Name of Jesus to do all the works Jesus did, and greater. With God, all things are possible, and no Word from God is void of the power necessary to bring it to pass.
I realize that to many, if not most people, what I am writing would be considered totally nonsensical. But stop for a moment and consider the following. 500 years before Jesus was born, it would have seemed totally nonsensical to almost anyone that a virgin could conceive and have a child; that such a child could grow to manhood, be crucified on a cross, buried, and three days later be raised from the dead to be seated on the right hand of God where He lives to make intercession for mankind. But just as surely as that great redemptive work is fully accomplished, what I am currently writing is likewise a reality. The question is, WILL YOU ACCEPT, BELIEVE, EMBRACE, AND FULLY ACT UPON THE WORD OF GOD that fully supports what I have written here? Only you can answer that question. No one can answer it for you. While it is absolutely profound, the response should be a simple one. Do you believe God? Do you believe His Word? Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you obey Him without hesitation? If your answer to my final four questions is, “Yes,” they you are one of those people about whom I write.
