Turning “Led” into Gold – Part 16

In any endeavor worth engaging, focus on the main thing is keenly important.

Isaiah 1:19 – If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.

In my final installment of this series of Second Milers, I want to make sure that our focus is the right focus.  I am sure that there are some who have read my words over the recent weeks, and their focus as been on the “gold.”  If that is the case, they have totally missed the mark.  For sixteen editions of the Second Miler, the title each day has read, Turning “Led” into Gold.  The true focus has not been on the gold, but on what MAKES the gold; that which produces the gold.  And it should be further noted that the gold about which I’ve written is not isolated in its meaning to the element on the Periodic Table represented by the symbol “Au.”  Neither is it the money or possessions that can be gained from the possession of that gold (Au).  While such things may often be part of the manifestation of God’s blessing for obedience, the gold of which I’ve written is the true gold, the true riches of the kingdom of God.

Once again I reiterate that the true focus of this series in NOT gold, but BEING LED by Holy Spirit.  My prayer for all who read these words is they will grasp what I am saying, embrace it, put it to work in their lives, and enjoy the great blessing of the Lord for doing so.  And much more than that.  I pray they will begin to realize in an even greater way the supreme joy that arises from willful obedience to the Lord in every way possible.  He leads us by His Spirit, by His Word, with dreams and visions, through the example set for us by those who have gone before us, and through the proclaimed Word of God in teaching and preaching of His Word.  When He leads us in any endeavor at any time, it is ALWAYS for good, right, blessing, and edifying.  He ALWAYS has His sheep, His people, His church at the center of His purpose.  Because He ALWAYS holds us and our good will at the center of His purpose, then our love alone should be sufficient for us to make willful obedience to Him the center of our purpose.  NEVER forget the words of Jesus in John 14:15.  There Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep my commandments.”

Dear reader, it is in that loving obedience to our God that the things of which I have been writing are manifest most freely.  Open your heart.  Keep yourself in the Word of God and living the love walk through your obedience to Father.  He blesses you because He loves you, and your obedience opens a way for those blessing to flow more freely to you in a manner that honors and glorifies our God.
