Text for Today – Proverbs 13:12 – Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
This is all about vision. Vision is a desired state of being. That is precisely what hope is; a desired state of being; a place to which you desire to come, and having the belief that you can and will make it. When that is taken from a person, it makes their heart, their spirit-man, sick.
Since every issue of life comes from one’s spirit, then a sick spirit will follow the law of Genesis and produce after its own kind. A sick spirit will produce sick issues in one’s life. When enough sick issues are produced in one’s life, one can be made to be, and will likely become sick. That happened to me many years ago when it seemed my vision was stripped away from me. Within a few years of that event, I was diagnosed with diabetes. My whole body was terribly sick.
When the Lord showed me the cause, I immediately set about changing things. I asked faithful prayer partners to pray for my vision, not my healing. I knew that the door had been opened to diabetes through my vision being stolen. As my vision for what the Lord had called me to do was restored, so was my health, and today, I am healed and healthy.
What is your vision for yourself, your family, your profession, your church? Without vision, the Word declares that people perish. I am convinced that more people have a vision than would be imagined. Only the vision far too many people have is flawed., I know of people whose only vision is one of debt; they never see themselves having or possessing anything without having to use debt to get it. I know people whose only vision is one of sickness and disease; they never see themselves as healed and whole. Their vision is one of being forever tied to costly medications and medical treatments as long as they live. If your vision is like one of these, change it NOW! Go to the Word of God; allow the entry of the Word to bring you light; then walk in that light and God will grant you vision for living, not dying; vision for giving, not owing; vision for health, not sickness and suffering; vision for wholeness, not brokenness. See the best and hope for it. See it through your vision. Though it may not be physically seen at this moment, hold fast to it and refuse to allow it to be deferred. You don’t need a sick spirit, but a well one.
