Which are you?  WHOSOEVER or CHRISTIAN?  You are one or the other.  There is no middle ground.

Text for Today – Revelation 22:17 – And the Spirit and the bride say . . . whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

What a wonderful invitation!  It is in NO way exclusionary; that is to say, anyone who accepts the invitation is free to enjoy the benefits of it.  This invitation is an open invitation.  One does not need special skills, a certain level of education, a special list of references, or a certain socio-economic status.  It makes no difference what one’s ethnic background, work history, or even criminal record indicates.  This is truly an open invitation to WHOSOEVER will.  Every time I read this, or any related passages, , my heart rejoices.  Jesus has extended an absolutely personal invitation to me to join Him and drink of the water of life freely.  And the reason is that I am a WHOSOEVER, and Jesus loves WHOSOEVER.

The great news for you and everyone else on the face of this planet is that you, too, are a WHOSOEVER.  What a wonderful thought to grasp and understand.  We all came from one family name, WHOSOEVER, and every one of us can be born again into a different family Name, and that Name is Jesus.  Paul said he bowed his knee unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of Whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.  That meant I have come from being a WHOSEVER to being a child of the living God, name CHRISTIAN (little Christ; little Anointed One), with a personal relationship with Jehovah God, having access to Him as though I were the only child He had.  Think of that!  Though there are millions who rightfully and legitimately call God their Father, He looks upon you and me, accepts you and me, and treats you and me as thought you and I were the only children He has.  Now that’s AWESOME!

My dear friend, this is the message of salvation that everyone in the earth needs to hear.  This is the cry of the heart of God to the lost and dying of our day.  Let us carry it forth, fruitfully and diligently, proclaiming its truth in every kindred, tribe, tongue, and nation.  Let us proclaim it in the high places and the low, to the rich and the poor, to the sick and the well, to the learned and the illiterate.  They are the WHOSOEVERS that desperately need to accept Jesus as Lord, and become CHRISTIAN.  The work is before us.  Let us not shirk our responsibility.  God will help us, and we will be victorious in winning our age to Jesus.
