You need to know that you’re a winner, and you’ve arrived to manifest God’s victory in your life.
Text for Today – 2 Corinthians 2:14 – Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place.
All my life, I’ve been a competitor. Whether it was in some kind of organized sport, hunting, fishing, bike riding, lifting weights, or just finishing a day’s work, I have always been able to find some way to turn it into a competition. With organized sports, it was easy; there was another team or a wrestling opponent. In finishing a day’s work, I had to be a bit more imaginative, and usually competed against the clock. Still there was a competition to win.
Too many people live their life as though there is really nothing to win. Still others live as though the whole world is their competition, and that’s simply too much to overcome. So, they live a defeatist, or victim’s life. Both those ways of thinking, and anything akin to that way of thinking is a flawed, defeatist, victim mentality. Life is filled with finish lines, goals, and potential victories awaiting someone to be the winner.
The good news is that in Christ, you can ALWAYS be the winner! Look at our Text for Today once again. Do you believe the Bible? Are you convinced of the veracity of God and the unchangeableness of His Word? Do you know in your heart that what He has said, He can and will bring to pass? If you do, then your life should be a victory seeking a place to happen. Each day you rise should be a victory over death, sickness, and disease. Each night you lay down to sleep should be a victory over those same things, plus the fact that you have been surrounded with favor as a shield, and you have lived a conquering life, overcoming the world through your faith.
Regardless of what comes against you, what obstacle you face, or hurdle you have to overcome, you win,
Regardless of the mountain before you, the storm on your sea of life, or the dangers that may line your way, begin your day, live your day, and end your day holding fast to your profession of faith that your God ALWAYS causes you to TRIUMPH in CHRIST!
And there’s more! You can win and no one knows it but you and Jesus. But when the “savor of His knowledge” is manifest, everyone knows that it was God Who gave you the victory. Your victory is in Him; His knowledge, His wisdom, His ability, His riches, His power, His grace and mercy. So, go forth to win, and let it be known that Jesus is Lord!
