A Real Time God

No matter the point in time you survey, I AM IS THERE.

Text for Today – Exodus 3:14 – And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

In our world of fast-moving technology, the term real time has become one of common usage.  Today, we can sit before our television and see what is happening as it is happening at practically any point on our globe.  9/11 is an example of that as untold millions of people around the world watched the World Trade Center towers fall in real time.  Our world has become so small in that regard that you can sit before you television on the east coast, watching a live broadcast of a baseball game in Japan.  When a batter hits the ball, you will see it at almost the same instant as those in the ball stadium, but you will hear the crack of the bat on your television before the people in the stands in Japan hear it.  That’s the reality of real time.

Well, dear believer, we serve a real time God.  It makes no difference what you are facing, He faces it with you while you are facing it.  In fact, He knows what is coming into your life before it comes, and that makes it possible for Him to always be ready to provide you with whatever you need to achieve victory.  Now that’s even better than real time.

The God we serve called Himself I AM.  That makes it about as plain as it can get.  He did not call Himself I WAS, or I WILL BE.  Rather HE IS the I AM.  Regardless of the time in history you might travel, wherever you stop along the way, there HE (I AM) IS.  No matter how far into the future you can project your thinking, there HE (I AM) IS. 

So, what are you facing today?  What trial will you encounter?  What battle will you fight?  What obstacle must you overcome?  Be at peace, my friend, for HE IS there with you NOW, and more than that, you will find that when you arrive at ground zero of what you must face, I AM is right there with you.  Even though He does not call Himself I WAS, or I WILL BE, He did say “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “Who is and WHO was and WHO is to come, the Almighty.”  If He were using today’s vernacular, He could just as easily have said, “I AM the REAL TIME GOD.”
