The Hated Woman

Every indication of Scripture puts women in a special place with the Lord.

Text for Today – Genesis 3:12 – And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

Consider my words.  She came from man’s side to be partner with him in life, to hold his heart in her protection, and be under his arm of protection that she might own his freely given love.  While she was beguiled by Satan, the man was not.  He actually committed high treason against God, selling out while fully recognizing what he was doing.  Then when God came to them in the garden, she at least accepted some of the blame for her failure in saying, “The serpent beguiled me and I did eat.”  The man on the other hand, passed the total blame off on God and the woman, saying, “The woman whom Thou gavest to be with me . . .”

It would appear that the woman became an immediate target on which man could pass blame.   But there’s more.  Consider what the Lord said concerning the state of attitude between the woman and Satan.  God said there would be “enmity” between the woman and Satan, and that while Satan would bruise her seed’s heel, her seed would bruise Satan’s head.  And so it was when Jesus conquered Satan.

Now learn a truth about something in the nature of Satan he would not like you to know.  In Daniel’s vision of the last days, and more specifically in his description of the anti-christ, Daniel said of the anti-christ that he will have no regard for the “desire of women.”  Let me speak plainly here, my reader friend.  Any human male of the species not having a regard for woman is, at the very least, influenced by a homosexual spirit.

Still, there is a great word for women of God.  In Christ, there is neither male nor female.  All women of God are heirs of God, joint-heirs with Christ, with all the Biblical authority of any other believer.  The devil may have a special hatred for women, but God loves them.  She was the crowning glory of the crowning glory of the creation.  So, rejoice, woman of God; though hated, you are yet more greatly loved!  Hallelujah!
