Fresh Eyes

When Jesus asks what you want today, respond, “Oh, that I might see!”

Text for Today – Revelation 3:28 – I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.

How are you seeing?  Are you seeing only by the natural eye?  Or are you viewing what is before you with the eye of faith?  If your sight is only natural, you only see what the rest of the world sees, and will therefore be greatly impacted and influenced by it.

But there is more to see than what the natural eyes see.  If all you see is the natural, your future holds little hope other than what you have already seen.  But if you see beyond the natural, there is joy for your strength.

The spirit of faith believes, and therefore speaks.  The natural man seeks to see before he speaks.  Men of faith speak and then see.  The natural man sees and then speaks.  All the natural man is doing is reporting what has already happened, while the man of faith reports what he believes; what is yet to happen.

What we must understand about the spirit of faith and how it works in the believer is that before faith speaks, creating the seen, the spirit of faith has already seen the unseen.  They see with faith eyes; eyes made fresh and alive by the spirit of faith in the man’s heart.  That’s fresh eyes.  Oh, that God would grant this present generation fresh eyes that could see what the spirit of faith sees before it can be seen.

May the Lord grant to His people fresh eyes; faith eyes; eyes anointed with fresh eye salve to see the unseen so clearly that men of God may describe the indescribable by speaking the unspeakable joy of the Lord that is full of glory.

Why don’t you determine today, right now, to be one of those people?  Fill your heart and mind and mouth so full of the Word of God that nothing contrary to the mind of God is uttered forth from your tongue.  Make up your mind that you will say what God says, and nothing less, about any situation you face, any battle you fight, any obstacle you must overcome, any ministry you undertake, every arena of your life and the lives of those your faith touches.  Ask the Lord to anoint your eyes with fresh eye salve that you may see all He wants you to see, the way He wants you to see it, when He wants you to see it.  Oh, my God, give us fresh eyes!
