The foundation of the church stands sure; unmovable, unchanging, eternal. Make ready the battle!
Matthew 16:18 – And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Today I want us to look at one of the most powerful statements that can be found in God’s Word as it relates to the believer. Jesus said that the gates of hell “shall not prevail against it (His Church).” Take a moment, read that statement again, and deeply consider the full import of what Jesus said. I know that to the natural mind it might seem that I’m stretching the point, or manufacturing a science fiction super-hero mentality, but in no way is that happening. Look again at the words of Jesus; “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (His Church).”
Allow me to remind you of WHO YOU ARE. When you were born again, you became . . . a child of God, an heir of God, a joint heir with Christ, the righteousness of God in Christ, a minister of reconciliation, an ambassador for Christ, the seed of Abraham, a king and a priest unto our God. And that is just a start. Furthermore, with that identity, the power and authority you carry is at a level no man could begin to embrace it all. For starters, read Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Matthew 28:18-20, and Mark 16:15-20. My dear friend, you walk in this earth with the full power, authority, and backing of heaven. EVERY promise of ability, authority, backing, and support the Word has given for you stands as settled forever in heaven.
Now look once again at the words we consider today. “…the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (His Church).” Are you ready? If the Scriptures are true, and they are, then NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER; NO PLAGUE CAN COME NIGH YOUR DWELLING; GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD; YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHICH STRENGTHENS YOU; YOU CAN DO THE SAME WORKS JESUS DID, AND GREATER; HIS ANGELS HAVE CHARGE OVER YOU TO KEEP YOU FROM DASHING YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.
All these things are the written, infallible, heaven-supported Word of God concerning you. In you, there should be NO fear. When you go forth in the Name of Jesus, in faith, in willful obedience to the Word of God, walking in the calling and anointing in which the Lord has called you to walk, you are invincible. Yes, I said it. You are invincible. Just as invincible as Daniel and the three Hebrew children. NEVER forget, Jesus declared that NO ONE TOOK HIS LIFE. HE LAID IT DOWN, AND HE TOOK IT UP AGAIN. Are you walking in obedience to the Lord, abiding the calling and anointing to which you are called? Then God’s full protection belongs to you. Let’s go to battle.
