Consider your best day, greatest event, or most joyous day ever. There is yet greater to come.
John 14:12 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Think of the greatest blessing you have ever received after being born again. God has greater for you. Think of the greatest miracle you have ever seen. There is greater yet to come. Think of the greatest minister of the Gospel you’ve ever encountered; there is greater. Consider the greatest thing this world has to offer; the greatest enemy you’ll ever encounter, the greatest obstacle you’ll ever face, the greatest hurdle that will ever be placed before you, and when you’ve considered them all, consider this. “Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”
At the close of your best day you must remember there can be greater. In the Old Testament, John Baptist, according to Jesus, was the greatest prophet ever born of woman. Yet the least in the kingdom of God today is greater than John. As wise as Solomon was, endued with such wisdom from God, there is a wiser than Solomon here, and His Name is Jesus. But that’s not all. The Greater One is living in you and you are commanded to let His mind be in you. Oh the awesomeness of that greater wisdom! And then there was the slayer of a thousand men in one battle who also tore off the gates of the city and carried them away, and slew great beasts with his bare hands. But as great as Samson was, there is a greater than Samson in this age.
Consider what I write today, dear reader. There is no way the New Covenant, a better covenant, a more glorious covenant than the Old Covenant, can come to a close with the smartest, wisest, strongest, richest, most eloquent people who have ever lived all having lived in the Old Covenant. The New Covenant is a greater covenant, and as such, will surely produce greater, stronger, wiser, richer, more eloquent people of God. And the end will be better than the beginning. Be one of the GREATER ONES.
